Highlights

  • Lebanon Consumer Price Index (CPI) shows a 1.2% increase in March compared to February, and 3.4% decrease compared to March 2014.

  • Staple food price remains at the same level over last year, some fluctuation in pasta price, a 6.8% decreased in March compared to February

  • In the first quarter, fuel prices began a slow increase, kerosene and diesel increased by 8% and10% respectively in February.

  • The average Term of Trade (TOT) stood at 14.76 Kg/day in March 2015.

  • The average cost of the referential food basket remained stable throughout the quarter.
