UNFPA is enhancing media coverage on reproductive health issues in Syria. UNFPA is supporting more safe spaces for women and girls crossing the Turkish border.
UNFPA support in the Syrian Arab Republic (from all channels):
- 451,293 reproductive health services delivered to Syrians
- 13,855 deliveries supported, including 5,952 C-section deliveries
- 82,991 family planning services
- 17,770 gender-based violence response services provided to Syrians
- 24,024 women accessed women safe spaces
UNFPA support in neighbouring countries affected by the crisis:
- 31,959 reproductive health services delivered to Syrian refugees
- 9,897 Syrians received family planning services and consultations
- 2,087 clients received gender-based violence services
- 19,514 Syrian refugees accessed women safe spaces and participated in activities in camps and host communities
- 10,884 Syrian refugees reached with gender-based violence related messages
