BEIRUT, Sept 27 (KUNA) The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has concluded its humanitarian campaign in Lebanon by distributing more than 2,100 meat rations to thousands of Syrian refugees in various parts of Lebanon, as part of Eid AlAdha aid campaign.
KRCS delegate to Lebanon Mohammad AlMutairi told KUNA that more than 300 Syrian families in Marjayoun city, south of lebenon, benefited from this campaign today. Yesterday, 550 families in Miniyeh, north of the country, and Arsal, northeast of Lebanon, received Eid rations.
During the past two days, the KRCS distributed meat rations to more than 1,250 Syrian families in Batroun, Zahle and Sidon, AlMutairi added.
He expressed appreciation to the Lebanese Red Cross Society for helping in carrying out this campaign effectively and efficiently.
He also pointed out that KRCS will continue to help out the unfortunate to alleviate their sufferings.
According to the latest UN statistics, there are more than 1.2 million registered Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
