Lebanon: KRCS, IFRC sign cooperation pact to help Syrian refugees in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Nov 13 (KUNA) ­­ Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) signed a cooperation agreement with Qatar Red Crescent Society (IFRC) to support the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

KRCS delegate Dr. Musad Al­Enezi told KUNA, on Friday, that this agreement aims at unifying efforts to give aid to the Syrians. He added that many aid projects will be carried out under the umbrella of GCC General Secretariat.

These aid projects will include offering fuel for heating, blankets and medicine to the Syrians to face the harsh winter weather as well as setting up a project to produce 50,000 liters of water wells sufficient to 4,000 displaced families. (end) mah.nfm
